12 – 19 July 2024: The 33nd Animals Committee meeting to the Convention on International Trade on Endangered Species CITES took place in Geneva, Switzerland. After the CITES International Technical Workshop on the Trade of Marine Ornamental Fishes that took place in May 2024, decisions were taken to scrutinize this trade further, make analysis to find the species that could be threatened by trade and find species that need CITES monitoring.
